Ruthanne (Ruth) Miller, 87 of Springfield Missouri passed away in Mercy Hospital October 9, 2025 following a fall. Ruth was born July 7, 1938, in Canton, Ohio to Bill and Ruth Miller. In 1952, following her mother's remarriage, the family moved to Fontana, California. Ruth enjoyed school, reading, and music. She had a taste for adventure which led her to become a civilian secretary for the USAF abroad as soon as she was old enough to qualify. On her 21st birthday she applied and was hired. She lived and worked in France for two years and then Germany for two years. She took advantage of her time there to see all she could during her time off. Upon returning to the States, she trained to be a cytotechnologist. Ruth worked as a cytotechnologist at Bay area hospitals for over 30 years. She enjoyed the San Francisco symphony immensely and attended regularly. She was a voracious reader and loved traveling, she traveled extensively. Following a stroke in July 2022 Ruth moved from her long-time home in Pleasanton, California to Springfield, Missouri to be close to family.
