John A Stoker passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026, after battling an illness. He was born in West Newton England on the Queen’s Sandringham Estate. Upon high school graduation he went to Neumarket, England to train as an apprentice jockey and to learn about the welfare of racehorses. He was part of the Queen’s racing stable and under the direction of the Queen’s trainer. John immigrated to the U.S. in 1961. He became ranch manager at Rancho El Charro at the age of 24. He then moved on to an assistant trainer position and eventually had his own racing stable. John trained horses for over 30 years.

John leaves behind many loved ones and friends, but most importantly his wife, Bonnie.
