In loving memory of Kate Barker, age 68, born May 4, 1958, in Portland, Oregon. Kate passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 12th at her summer home at Henrys Lake, Idaho while surrounded by family. Her love of nature, the outdoors, hiking and fishing made Henrys Lake the perfect place for her and her husband Phil to build their dream cabin. Her smile, laughter and love of music brought joy to everyone who knew her. Kate’s courageous battle against Alzheimer’s lasted over 14 years with her husband alongside her every step of the way. Kate and Phil lived in Pleasanton for over 30 years where they raised their children. Kate is survived by her husband Phil, daughter Kristina and son Greg.
