Lynell Marie (Means) Pratt passed away May 17, 2026 at the age of 77.

Lynell was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 55 years Robert (Bob) Pratt, children Alisa M Lahrs (Eric), Dan (Katie LaBoy) and Brian Pratt. Grandchildren Dylan (Audrey), Emily and Ryder Lahrs, Liv and Cruz LaBoy. Sister Connie DeBernardi and nephew Jeff (Tina) DeBernardi.

Lynell was born in Oakland and grew up in San Pablo. She graduated from Richmond High School and received her BA from UC Berkeley. She went on a 3 month World Campus Afloat college cruise of Europe and South America during her Junior year in 1968 and met Bob when she returned to the states. She and Bob married in 1970 and lived in Hayward while she obtained her teaching credential from Hayward State. She taught high school social studies until turning her attention to her growing family. Lynell lived in Pleasanton for 49 years and was a member of the Jr. Women’s Club and a Girl Scout Leader. She spent 35 years as a local Avon representative, gaining many awards and was a sales leader in her district.

Lynell loved to visit family in Southern California, Oregon, Washington and Western Canada. She and Bob started sea cruising in 1975 and by 2020 had been on many cruises throughout the world, including the Med, Panama Canal, Hawaii and Alaska.

Her favorite pastime was having the family over for meals and card games.
