Loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Mary Cox, former longtime resident of Pleasanton, left this earth peacefully on April 18, 2014, with her family by her side. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Corrine Shepherd, and her brother Ted Shepherd of Oroville, CA.

Mary will be greatly missed by her loving husband Marvin Cox of Gardnerville, NV, her sister Alberta Shepherd of Vallejo, CA, her children Bruce Cox (Cheryl) of Pleasanton, CA, Michael Cox of Washington and Brenda Cox Brouwers (Chris) of Truckee, CA, as well as her grandchildren, Christopher Brouwers of Brooklyn, New York, Cody Brouwers of Reno, NV, Brittney Brouwers of Fullerton, CA and Shawna Rae Brouwers of Reno, NV, as well as many loving, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Waltons Funeral Home at 1521 Church Street, Gardnerville, NV. The family will be greeting friends and relatives at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2014. A reception will immediately follow at the funeral home.
